Kodak Black was liberated from a 46-month sentence for weapons charge after President Donald Trump commuted his sentence on his last day in office. The rapper took to social media to thank, the former head of state and his supportive fans:

“I Want To Thank The President @RealDonaldTrump For His Commitment To Justice Reform And Shortening My Sentence. I Also Want To Thank Everyone For Their Support And Love. It Means More Than You Will Ever Know. I Want To Continue Giving Back, Learning And Growing.” He tweeted.

As previously reported by Fresh Hip Hop Mag, the Floridian rapper is still facing sexual assault charges in South Carolina that could earn him up to 30 years in prison if convicted.

The new singles follow Kodak Black’s third studio album Bill Israel, which was released during his incarceration. The project saw 11 tracks with assists from Gucci Mane, Tory Lanez, Jackboy, CBE, and Lil Yachty. Prior to that, he had dropped Dying To Live in 2018, with assists from Travis Scott, Lil Pump, Offset, and Juice WRLD. The project landed the artist his first No. 1 album placement on the Billboard 200 having sold 89,000 album equivalent units.
