Drake Has Two Weeks To Release Certified Lover Boy – Will It Be Another Delay? When Drake’s Certified Lover Boy (CLB) was announced in April 2020 to be released in summer 2020, the countdown began for most of his fans across the world. Came September 2020, and the album was nowhere to be seen.
Drake then gave the promise of delivering the long awaited project in January 2021.
Now with less than 2 weeks before the potential drop date, fans can’t help but wait and see if the release will materialize.
Record producer Cardo hinted on twitter with regard to the potential release date.
Cardo tweeted, “Feels like it’s January 28th.” He likely meant January 29th given that the date falls on a Friday and that’s when music releases typically happen. Cardo later deleted the tweet, which could have been a slip up.
Aside from the 6 God announcing in October of 2020 that CLB will be released at the top of 2021, there haven’t been any additional details.
The cause of delay for Drake’s album isn’t exactly known but potential factors would include the impact of COVID-19 and the fact that the rapper underwent a knee surgery end of last year. The rapper has reportedly been seen in the studio working on CLB thanks to social media. Still, it remains unknown when Drake will be ready to deliver his offering.
