Shyne shared details of Diddy‘s nightclub shooting in a recent interview with Fat Joe. The rapper has continuously said that the shooting was a mistake and that he regrets his action on the day of that incident.

The shooting that took place at Diddy’s nightclub happened 21 years ago in December 1999. He explained that what happened on that night had nearly ended his career. He explained that he knew Scar who was the instigator of the fight but the issue had been Diddy’s problem and not his issue.

The “Bad Boyz” rapper shared “I seen somebody reach for a gun and I reached for my weapon and I defended my friends and myself. Cause once he starts firing, once whoever else pulls out a gun and starts firing, it doesn’t stop there”.

Shyne in knowing the guys that had brought danger to him and his friends (Diddy, Jennifer and their bodyguard), they had all been able to flee form the scene. He said that he acted out of wanting to save his life, it was a matter of life and death.

After the shooting both Diddy and 41 year old former rapper had to face charges, Shyne was found guilty of two counts of assault, reckless endangerment and gun possession. The relationship between the two had been a little shakey as some went at Diddy as he did not assist Shyne during his trial.
