Hayes filed the lawsuit earlier this month at the California Federal Court, he states that the song by Kendrick has copied his song starting from title, melody, harmony and rhythm. One of the producers, Josef Leimberg who have been working with the ‘DAMN’ rapper had also been working with him on the song.
It has also been stated the Terrace Martin who is the co-writer and producer of Kendrick’s “Loyalty” had access to the saved sessions on Josef Leimbeirg’s computer. Martin and Leimberg have been closely associated and have worked together, this makes the the co-defendents in the lawsuit.
