Kanye West Bags His First Gospel Nominations For The Dove Awards With 3 Nominations Kanye West is now making music moves while he is on and about with his presidential run. The Dove Awards now has earned Kanye his first gospel music nominations with a number of 3 nominations.

“Jesus Is King”

Kanye West has been nominated for 3 Dove Awards. The first award id for his “Jesus Is King” album which is nominated for rap/Hip Hop album. The second award nomination is for “Jesus Is Born” which is the album by his Sunday Service Choir, it is nominated for Traditional Gospel Album Of The Year. The third award is for the song ‘Follow God’ which is nominated for Rap/Hip Hop Recorded Song Of The Year.

The Dove Awards are set to take place on the 30th of October on the religious channel Trinity Broadcasting Network (TBN). It will include pre-recorded performance and pre-recorded acceptance speeches. Last year Kirk Franklin and Lecrae stood together in boycotting after Kirk had edited his speech to speak about the state of the country.

These 3 nominations are Kanye’s first take in the gospel arena. Other artist who have been nominate are Kirk Franklin and Jonathan McReynolds. The nominations were announced by the Gospel Music Association earlier today on the 14th of August 2020.

The 43 year old rappers gospel album topped charts last year and it is the main reason that qualified it for Dove awards. Fans will soon see if Kanye will bag and win the 3 awards. This years Dove Awards with be the 51st award to take place.
