Doechii Faces Online Backlash as Adin Ross Targets the Rising Star

Doechii, one of hip-hop’s fastest rising artists, has been receiving both acclaim and criticism as her career gains momentum. Recently, streamer Adin Ross has been vocal in questioning her intelligence, credentials, and authenticity, drawing responses from prominent figures in the hip-hop community.
Glasses Malone, a fellow Los Angeles rapper, publicly defended Doechii, calling out Ross for his repeated attacks. Ross, in response, reached out to music executive Wack 100, seeking mediation due to his ties with Malone and shared L.A. roots. According to Adin Reports on Twitter, Ross told Wack 100 that he was being threatened by Malone’s camp. Wack, however, dismissed the situation as trivial and said he would contact Malone directly to address it.
Malone remained firm, asserting that neither Wack 100 nor anyone else could control his actions. As reported by joebuddenclips on Twitter, Malone demanded respect for Doechii: “Stop disrespecting that lady. Make your content, do your job, but stop calling this lady out her name. Yes, call her music wack. That’s your job. Stop calling this Black lady a b***h.”
Hip-hop media figures have weighed in as well. Joe Budden, speaking on his podcast, supported Malone, indirectly criticizing Ross. Captured by Adin Updates on Twitter, Budden stated, “I do want to say, I’m rooting for Glasses Malone to get all the Crips together to beat up homeboy. I like Glasses Malone saying what he said.” Budden noted that Doechii’s new SZA collaboration, “girl, get up,” addresses online critics and those labeling her an industry plant, a line many interpreted as a reference to Ross.
Doechii’s growing influence has inevitably drawn scrutiny, but support from peers and media personalities highlights the divide between her defenders and detractors. Fans can expect the conversation around her music and persona to continue as her career expands.
