Young Thug Delays UY SCUTI Release Amid Apologies and Emotional Reflections

Young Thug has faced a turbulent few weeks following the leak of several jail calls, which stirred controversy in the hip-hop community. In the recordings, he openly criticized multiple artists, including some he has collaborated with, drawing scrutiny from fans and peers alike.

One notable leak suggested Young Thug was speaking to someone else while dating Mariah the Scientist, adding personal tension to the public fallout. In response, the rapper has taken steps to repair relationships through music. His new track, “Miss My Dogs,” serves as an apology to Drake, Future, Mariah, and others. After releasing the single, Young Thug acknowledged the emotional toll, tweeting, “Today one of them days [broken heart emoji] goin thru it a lil but [Ima] be alright.”

The personal challenges may have contributed to delays in his album rollout. UY SCUTI, Young Thug’s latest project, was initially scheduled for release on September 19. It was set to compete with Cardi B’s comeback album AM I THE DRAMA? as well as releases from Destroy Lonely and other artists.

However, Young Thug confirmed via Instagram Story that the album will now drop on September 26. A snippet produced by Southside accompanied the announcement, captioned simply, “Next Friday.” Fans had anticipated a late spring release, making the delay disappointing but signaling that final adjustments are being made.

Lead singles for the album include “Miss My Dogs” and “Money On Money” featuring Future. Other expected collaborators are Mariah the Scientist, Lil Gotit, and Ken Carson. The album aims to showcase Young Thug navigating both personal reconciliation and musical innovation as he moves forward.
