Young Thug Hints at Addressing Rumored Gunna Beef on Upcoming Lil Baby Collaboration

Young Thug appears ready to confront his rumored tension with Gunna in a verse for Lil Baby’s forthcoming album. Fans have speculated about issues between the two for months, but both artists have largely remained silent, leaving their supporters unsure of where their relationship stands.
A snippet of Young Thug’s verse surfaced online, as reported by Kurrco. In it, he seemingly references Gunna directly: “Only reason I f**ked with you Gunna, it was cause of Troup.” While unconfirmed, the lyric suggests their relationship may not have been as close as fans assumed.
Gunna has also appeared to address the tension in his own music. His recent album, The Last Wun, features the track prototype, which many interpret as a response to a now-deleted November tweet from Young Thug. The tweet read, “Gunna stop acting like we friends on the internet, I don’t know u my guy.” In prototype, Gunna raps, “N***a had tweeted my name, must’ve had to be a typo,” signaling that he is aware of the comments and addressing them through his music.
The backstory between the two includes their joint legal struggles. In 2022, both were arrested on RICO charges. Gunna accepted a plea deal and was released a few months later, fueling rumors that he cooperated against co-defendants, which he has denied.
Young Thug addressed the situation vaguely during an April interview with GQ when asked about his current relationship with Gunna. “I know everybody wondering that,” he said. “I don’t know,” leaving fans without a clear answer.
With the upcoming Lil Baby project, Young Thug may finally provide insight into the alleged feud, while fans wait to see how Gunna responds musically. The collaboration could mark the first significant public acknowledgment of their strained relationship.
