Cardi B Brings the Heat to WWE SummerSlam With Wild Hosting Debut and Unreleased Music Tease

Cardi B made a high-energy, headline-stealing appearance as the official host of WWE’s SummerSlam, held in her hometown of New York City. The Grammy-winning rap star, known for her larger-than-life persona, delivered a memorable entrance in a dramatic, oversized black feathery dress—strutting to the ring to the sound of what fans believe is an unreleased track from her highly anticipated sophomore album, Am I the Drama?

Once inside the ring, Cardi didn’t hold back. Addressing a packed crowd, she amped up the energy for upcoming matches and appearances, including Randy Orton and Logan Paul. Her off-the-cuff charisma was on full display as she shouted, “We’re coming to you live from the Tri-State! We’re making history tonight because this is the first-ever two-day SummerSlam. Yeah! We’re going to be talking about this forever.”

Despite speculation and hints that she might get physical inside the squared circle, Cardi stayed out of the action—at least for now.

In an interview with Billboard, WWE Chief Content Officer Paul “Triple H” Levesque weighed in on Cardi’s participation and the unpredictability that comes with it. “I don’t know if anybody can control Cardi B, let me just start with that,” he said. “If she wants to [get in the ring], it’s going to be hard to talk her out of it… The one thing I know about Cardi is, whatever she’s going to do, is what she’s going to do.”

He continued, “She’s a big fan of WWE and has always engaged with the brand online. So when someone like that wants to be part of the show, it’s exciting for us. We’ll see where that goes, but we’re thrilled to be working with her.”

Cardi’s appearance has already sparked conversations among fans and even WWE superstars. Former WWE Women’s Champion Liv Morgan and her tag team partner Raquel Rodriguez publicly challenged Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion to a potential tag-team match, fueling dreams of a cross-industry showdown. “I would love to see Cardi and Meg The Stallion. I think Meg would be incredible,” they said. “Those two would be interesting to see in the ring. Us versus Cardi and Meg. Make it happen.”

With a new album looming, a WWE fanbase behind her, and the potential for an in-ring debut, Cardi B’s SummerSlam moment may be just the beginning of something much bigger. Whether it’s through music, entertainment, or a surprise turnbuckle jump, one thing is certain: Cardi knows how to take center stage and leave everyone talking.
