DDG Hits Back at Halle Bailey’s Abuse Allegations, Claims She Poses Risk to Their Son Halo

Rapper and YouTube personality DDG has filed a restraining order against his ex-girlfriend, actress and singer Halle Bailey, in a dramatic legal twist following her previous allegations of abuse. The latest development in their ongoing custody battle centers on DDG’s claim that Bailey presents a serious risk to their infant son, Halo.

According to newly surfaced court documents, DDG alleges that Bailey has exhibited behavior that poses an “imminent emotional and psychological risk” to their child. He claims she has made “repeated, documented threats of self-harm” and argues that allowing her to take Halo out of the country would leave their son without court protections and emergency intervention resources.

In his filing, DDG also accuses Bailey of previously taking his firearm during a time when she was, according to him, “emotionally unwell, incoherent and potentially suicidal.” The court documents reportedly include screenshots of text messages exchanged between the former couple, including some related to the alleged gun incident. Bailey has not yet publicly responded to these new accusations.

These claims come shortly after a judge granted Bailey custody of Halo. In her earlier filing, Bailey accused DDG—whose real name is Darryl Dwayne Granberry Jr.—of ongoing abuse throughout their relationship. She described the rapper as physically, verbally, emotionally, and financially abusive, stating that she was seeking protection for both herself and their son.

As a result of her claims, a restraining order was issued barring DDG from coming within 100 yards of Bailey and Halo. Bailey has also asked the court to limit DDG’s access to their son, requesting that any visitation be supervised and occur only once a week. Additionally, she has petitioned to prevent him from taking Halo out of Los Angeles County or applying for any travel documents on behalf of their son without her permission.

Bailey’s filing also included a request that, in the event DDG must travel with their son, she be provided with a copy of his travel schedule and an open return ticket for herself to ensure she can retrieve Halo if he is not returned as agreed. With both parties making serious allegations, the legal battle over custody continues to escalate, and a final ruling will likely be determined in the months ahead.
