Jadakiss and Fat Joe Launch New Podcast “Joe & Jada” to Shake Up the Culture

Hip Hop legends Jadakiss and Fat Joe are teaming up to bring a fresh and unfiltered voice to the podcast world with their brand-new show, Joe & Jada. Announced on Monday, May 5, the highly anticipated podcast is set to premiere this week and will air twice weekly. It will be produced by The Volume and Roc Nation, promising an exciting blend of music, sports, culture, and candid conversations.

This marks a major move for both artists, who are no strangers to the media landscape. Fat Joe has already made waves with his hit Instagram Live sessions, which evolved into the talk show Fat Joe Talks on Starz. Jadakiss, on the other hand, has been a co-host of the cult-favorite podcast 2 Jews & 2 Black Dudes Review The Movies, alongside his LOX crew and ItsTheReal.

In a press release, Fat Joe shared his enthusiasm about the new venture:
“My brother Jadakiss and I will be delivering a podcast experience like none other. We’re both passionate and opinionated about music, sports, entertainment and culture, so you can definitely expect to get unfiltered analysis, versatile interviews and untold stories. We’re coming to shake up the podcast game and set a new blueprint.”

Jadakiss echoed those sentiments, highlighting their decades-long friendship and shared chemistry.
“I’m looking forward to teaming up with Joe on this podcast and showing another side of my personality. We’ve been friends for a long time, so we have the right chemistry and foundation to make this a really special show. Everyone is finally going to get to hear what we debate and discuss all the time behind the scenes.”

The Joe & Jada podcast aims to stand out with a mix of real talk, street wisdom, and deep insight. Topics will range from Hip Hop and sports to behind-the-scenes stories from the industry. With both hosts being veteran rappers from New York City, listeners can expect raw perspectives grounded in experience.

Given their recent commentary on the state of modern Hip Hop, fans are especially eager to hear their takes. Earlier this year, Fat Joe voiced his confusion over the direction of current rap music, calling some of it “devil music” and questioning its divergence from the roots of the genre.

“I encourage the youth and I love the youth,” Joe said, “but I’ve sat in traffic and heard music that made me feel like, ‘Yo, what the fuck? That’s Hip Hop?!’” He emphasized the genre’s diversity and expressed concern about artists chasing viral trends rather than authenticity.

Jadakiss, too, has pushed for originality in the game, calling out what he sees as a dilution of the art form. Referencing Kendrick Lamar’s chart-topping hit “Not Like Us,” he warned against copycat culture in rap:
“Rap is for rapping. Start doing a bunch of everything else, it’s getting away from the elements and it’s diminishing the culture… Don’t try to make the same thing just because it got someone five Grammys and a Super Bowl slot.”

With Joe & Jada, the two icons hope to reclaim that sense of balance and elevate the conversation around music and culture. Whether you’re a longtime fan or new to their voices, the podcast promises to offer sharp commentary, unexpected laughs, and a true insider’s look into the minds of two of Hip Hop’s most respected figures.

New episodes of Joe & Jada drop twice a week. Stay tuned—this is one show you won’t want to miss.
