PARTYNEXTDOOR Disses Tory Lanez in New Snippet: A Canadian R&B Feud Brewing?

PARTYNEXTDOOR is reaching new heights in his career. After more than a decade in the music industry, the OVO singer has officially landed his first number-one album, $OME $EXY $ONGS 4 U, thanks in part to his collaboration with Drake. However, despite his recent success, PARTY seems to have taken issue with fellow Canadian artist Tory Lanez.

PARTYNEXTDOOR Calls Out Tory Lanez in Unreleased Song

During an Instagram Live session, PARTYNEXTDOOR spoke candidly to his followers, making it clear that he wasn’t on friendly terms with certain artists. “I’m not y’all n**gas’ friends,” he stated. “Stop saying my name.” Shortly after, he played an unreleased track that appeared to take direct aim at Tory Lanez.

“F**k what Tory Lanez say… I’m running that,” he sang. “I did everything he did, he’s just a running man… drama man… I’m the daddy let me slap you okay.”

The singer also addressed past criticisms of his vocal style and accused Lanez of mimicking him. “You said I sound like Young Thug,” he crooned. “You sound like me. One day, you’ll be me…”

What’s the Source of the Tension?

PARTYNEXTDOOR and Tory Lanez have never publicly feuded before, which makes this sudden jab unexpected. The two even collaborated on the 2018 song More Than Friends, though their current relationship seems far from friendly.

One possible reason for the tension is a recent statement made by Lanez, who is currently serving time in prison. He acknowledged that Drake, PARTYNEXTDOOR, and The Weeknd all dropped impressive albums in 2025 and declared that it was now his turn to record an album from behind bars. Given PARTY’s strong reaction to hearing his name mentioned, it’s possible he took offense to Lanez’s remarks.

Drake’s Allegiance Could Complicate Things

What makes this situation even more intriguing is Drake’s relationship with both artists. While PARTYNEXTDOOR is signed to OVO and has been a longtime collaborator, Drake has also been vocal about his support for Tory Lanez. The For All the Dogs rapper previously showed solidarity with Lanez during the Drizzmas Giveaway live stream with Adin Ross, where he openly expressed his stance on freeing the incarcerated artist.

With PARTYNEXTDOOR dissing Lanez and Drake still backing him, it will be interesting to see whether this feud remains one-sided or turns into something bigger. For now, fans are left speculating about whether Tory Lanez will respond—or if Drake himself will weigh in.
