Kanye West Declares SZA as a Top 5 Artist Amidst Controversial Social Media Rants

Kanye West has never been one to shy away from sharing his unfiltered opinions, and amidst a storm of controversial social media posts, he took a moment to give high praise to one of today’s biggest R&B stars—SZA.

In a recent post, Ye wrote: “SZA IS TOP 5 ARTIST RIGHT NOW.” This marks the first time West has publicly acknowledged his admiration for the SOS singer, though SZA has yet to respond. Given her record-breaking success and critical acclaim over the past few years, it’s not surprising that Kanye sees her as one of the top talents in the game today.

Kanye West Shows Love for Tyler, The Creator

In addition to praising SZA, Kanye also gave a shoutout to Tyler, The Creator, another artist he has collaborated with in the past. The Donda rapper took to Instagram to celebrate A$AP Rocky’s recent acquittal in his shooting trial, sharing a screenshot that showed Tyler liking his post.

“My daughter’s second favorite artist still loves me,” Kanye wrote. “As rappers, we all like one big family. And I’m that n-gga that still shows out even when there’s white people around.”

Despite their past collaborations, including Smuckers from Tyler’s Cherry Bomb album, it’s unclear whether Tyler reciprocates the same level of admiration Kanye has for him.

Kanye’s Growing List of Alienated Collaborators

While Kanye continues to show appreciation for certain artists, his increasingly divisive rhetoric has alienated many of his former collaborators. His latest social media tirades have included inflammatory remarks about Nazism, antisemitism, and racism, sparking widespread backlash.

Among those who have seemingly distanced themselves from Kanye are Travis Scott and Ty Dolla $ign, both of whom played major roles in his past projects. Ye’s outbursts have also included controversial takes on Diddy’s past assault case and disrespectful comments about the late fashion designer Virgil Abloh.

Despite his turbulent public image, Kanye’s influence in music remains undeniable. His acknowledgment of SZA and Tyler, The Creator shows that he still recognizes and respects artistry—though his ongoing controversies continue to overshadow much of his praise.
