Kanye West Finds New Inspiration in Daughter North West as He Works on Upcoming Album BULLY

Kanye West is reigniting his passion for music, a journey that’s deeply personal and tied to his family, especially his daughter, North West. After a creative lull marked by the controversial releases of VULTURES 1 and VULTURES 2, Kanye is back in the studio, teasing his forthcoming album BULLY.

In a heartfelt post shared on Instagram, West credited his daughter with reigniting his love for music. “This little girl made me love music again,” Kanye wrote, revealing that North’s passion and work ethic had inspired him to return to the craft he once adored. “She asked me to make beats for her. I got back on the ASR, chopped up beats for the album, and chopped every beat with my bare hand for BULLY,” Kanye said.

Alongside the touching message, West shared a photo of North sitting in the studio between recording sessions. It’s a rare and heartwarming glimpse into their father-daughter dynamic, showing that North’s influence on her father goes beyond just inspiration—she’s a driving force behind his creative process.

In addition to the heartfelt message, Kanye teased behind-the-scenes footage of the recording process. The clips featured North engaging in the studio with longtime collaborator Tony Williams. In one video, North can be seen walking up to an audio setup, while in another, she’s standing before a microphone with a vocal loop playing in the background. Kanye’s voice is heard telling his engineer, “Play it,” signaling the hands-on approach they share in the studio.

North has already been involved in Kanye’s music in the past. She rapped on “TALKING” from VULTURES 1 in 2024 and was featured alongside her sister, Chicago West, and Yuno Miles on the track “BOMB.” The single, which was billed as a Kanye West song, was uploaded to his YouTube channel, though it featured his children and Yuno Miles on the verses, showing that the rapper is keen to integrate his family into his creative projects.

With BULLY on the horizon, it’s clear that North West will play a significant role in shaping the album and Kanye’s musical journey moving forward. The rapper’s rekindled passion for music and the bond with his daughter are setting the stage for what could be a transformative new phase in his career, both creatively and personally. Whether or not BULLY will return Kanye to his past heights of artistic innovation remains to be seen, but one thing is certain: his family, particularly North, is at the heart of this new chapter.
