Ludacris and Nelly Join Star-Studded Lineup for Rock the Country Festival

Ludacris and Nelly are set to perform alongside Kid Rock, Creed, and other major acts at this year’s Rock the Country festival. The event will tour eight cities across the United States, celebrating America’s 250th anniversary with a mix of country and rock music. The festival will run from May through September, with stops in Texas, Florida, New York, and several other states.
Kid Rock described the festival as more than a music event, calling it a “movement” for fans. “In 2026, as America celebrates its 250th anniversary, this is a place for hard-working, God-fearing patriots to gather as one and celebrate freedom, music and the party of the year,” he said.
The announcement of Ludacris and Nelly joining the lineup generated mixed reactions on social media. Some fans expressed concern over Nelly’s political affiliations, referencing his performance at the Liberty Ball during Donald Trump’s 2025 inauguration. Others questioned Ludacris’ involvement, citing differences in fan expectations.
Nelly previously addressed criticism over performing for the Trump administration. On Willie D Live, he explained that his performance was about respect for the office of the President, not agreement with political views. “I thought you were riding for me because I put on for my city, I didn’t know that I had to agree with your political choices,” he said. “If you follow what I do, this shouldn’t even be an argument. He’s the president. He won.”
He later reaffirmed his stance during an interview with Fox News Digital, emphasizing positivity and unity. “I’m all for everybody staying positive about any and everything,” Nelly said. “I’m a glass half-full type of guy. I’m more empowered by bringing people together and making sure that we all get what we need, when we need it and why we need it.”
With Ludacris, Nelly, Kid Rock, and Creed on the roster, Rock the Country promises a high-energy mix of rock and country performances. Fans can expect a festival experience that blends music, patriotism, and large-scale celebrations of America’s milestone anniversary.
