Virginia rap duo Clipse continue to solidify their 2025 comeback with the release of the official video for “F.I.C.O.,” a standout track from their critically acclaimed album, Let God Sort Em Out. The visual, directed by Hannan Hussain, who also helmed their “So Be It” video, blends the duo’s razor-sharp street rhymes with dark, cinematic imagery.
The video paints a vivid picture of Pusha T and Malice reflecting on their past dope-dealing days. Scenes shift from an empty apartment building to rainy New York City streets, with the duo cruising in a luxury vehicle. The attention to detail elevates the narrative, including a striking moment where Pusha T sits in the back of a car as a body is loaded into the trunk, perfectly syncing with his lyric: “When you pay a n-gga back like it’s layaway / Whispering ‘die slow,’ the last words you hear in the trunk.”
Stove God Cooks makes a memorable cameo, delivering what Pusha T has called the “hook of the year.” His contribution enhances the track’s intensity and adds to the video’s cinematic impact.
The “F.I.C.O.” release follows another high point for Clipse. The duo recently received their first Grammy nominations in over two decades, securing five nods for next year’s awards. Let God Sort Em Out is up for Album of the Year, marking Clipse’s first nomination in one of the “Big Four” categories. The album also competes for Best Rap Album, while “The Birds Don’t Sing” is nominated for Best Rap Song, “Chains & Whips” for Best Rap Performance, and “So Be It” for Best Music Video.
“Bringing home that hardware would mean everything,” Pusha T told GQ. “We going for it. We made the album. We looked at it, like, this is that strong. We need to take something home for this.”
