Wale, one of the most respected MCs of the 2010s, is making his return to the music scene with a new project titled Everything Is a Lot. Known for his strong mixtape catalog, including the standout The Mixtape About Nothing, Wale also released major albums like 2011’s Ambition, SHINE, and The Gifted. However, since 2019, his output has slowed, leaving fans eager for new material.
Everything Is a Lot marks Wale’s first commercial release since 2021’s Folarin II, which featured his last Hot 100 charting track, “Poke It Out” with J. Cole. According to an exclusive interview with Billboard, Wale has crafted a project that dives into the weight of his personal life, the music industry, and the world around him. The tone of the album is serious and introspective, aiming to showcase vulnerability and self-reflection.
Wale revealed on Instagram that the project addresses challenges he has faced, including changes in management, navigating a transforming industry, and balancing personal relationships. He describes it as a way to release the pressures he has carried and to confront the highs and lows of his career directly.
The production lineup for Everything Is a Lot includes BNYX, Salaam Remi, Kel-P Vibes, Go Grizz, Streetrunner, Emil, and Genio. The tracklist currently does not include any confirmed features, but fans are watching closely for updates.
Everything Is a Lot is set for release on Friday, November 14.
