Offset Says Relationship With Quavo Is Improving

Offset and Quavo have had their ups and downs, but the “Bodies” rapper says things are getting better between them. On a recent episode of 7PM in Brooklyn with Carmelo Anthony, Offset revealed they now talk “every other week.”

He explained, “It be the internet trying to do some old sht, but with us, it ain’t about that. We gotta holla at each other in the day, at the end of the day, man. That’s family at the end of the day, man. You’re gonna bump heads with your family sometime. In the day, a n*** ain’t finna play with him, or a n**** ain’t finna play with me.”

In June, the two reunited to honor the late Takeoff on what would have been his 31st birthday. Offset called Takeoff “the glue” who kept the group grounded. He said, “He was the one who keep our head straight when we were trying to — you know how that sht be? The three of us n*s think one way. He always was the n** that was the medium.”

Offset’s news comes just before he drops his third solo album, Kiari. The project features Gunna, NBA YoungBoy, Key Glock, John Legend, and more. A press release calls it his “most personal body of work yet.”

Despite rumors, Offset confirmed on The Joe Budden Podcast that he won’t throw shots at anyone on the album. He said, “The shots? I ain’t doing that. I might speak on life situations, but I’m not doing that. That ain’t the way to do it. There’s too much involved, family, kids. That sh*t gonna be lame 10 years from now.”

Fans can expect honest reflections without drama when Kiari drops.
