Ice Spice Teases New Music With M.I.A. “Bad Girls” Sample

It has been more than a year since Ice Spice dropped new music. The Bronx rapper released her debut studio album Y2K! in July 2024, featuring Travis Scott, Gunna, and Central Cee. Before that, her debut EP Like..? introduced her to a wider audience and cemented her status as one of rap’s rising stars.
Now, she is hinting at a return. On Instagram, Ice Spice previewed a new track that samples M.I.A.’s 2012 hit Bad Girls. In the clip, she can be heard rapping, “Baddie Baddie im feelin nasty 😛.” The song does not yet have a release date, but the reaction online shows fans are ready. Comments on her post range from “She’s back 😍” to “Oh you have a hit on your hands.” Others see this as a sign that another project might be on the way.
Although her music output slowed down after Y2K!, Ice Spice has stayed in the public eye. She has been linked to New York Jets cornerback Sauce Gardner since early 2025. The pair were first spotted together at a mall in February and have since made multiple appearances, including Adin Ross’ boxing event in April.
Social media interactions between the two have fueled the dating rumors. While neither has confirmed the relationship, Gardner spoke briefly about it in a June interview with TMZ Sports. “It’s still the same, for real. I ain’t trying to speak too much on it,” he said. “We just be having a good time. Two young individuals. She’s from New York, I play in New York. She’s talented, real talented at what she do. Same for me. Two people that get hated on that’s really good at what we do, so we’ve got a lot in common.”
For now, fans will have to wait for official details about the Bad Girls sample track. Given her track record, a surprise single or even a new project would not be out of character. With her last full release more than a year old, Ice Spice’s next move could be crucial in keeping momentum in a crowded rap landscape.
If the response to her teaser is any indication, listeners are ready to hear more from her.
