Fans Think Pusha T Disses Kanye West on Upcoming Clipse Song “So Be It”

Pusha T is stirring up controversy again — and this time, it might be Kanye West in his lyrical crosshairs. A new track from Clipse’s long-awaited reunion album Let God Sort Em Out has fans buzzing after DJ Hed previewed the song “So Be It” during an Instagram Live session this week. As fans eagerly dissected the lyrics, one particular bar stood out as a potential shot at Ye.
“You cried in front of me, you died in front of me / Calabasas took ya b*tch and ya pride in front of me…” raps Pusha T in the newly previewed track. The sharp line immediately ignited speculation online, with users on X (formerly Twitter) interpreting the lyric as a direct jab at West’s highly publicized personal struggles, including his divorce from Kim Kardashian and emotional breakdowns in recent years.
“Why he dissing Kanye like this?” one user asked, echoing a common sentiment. Another posted: “Taken a break from dissing Drake to diss Kanye for clout. Why can’t this Grandpa just rap to his 200 fans without baiting Kanye and Drake fans into giving him plays?”
The lyrics come just weeks after Pusha T opened up in a GQ interview about the collapse of his friendship with West. In the candid conversation, Push praised Kanye’s musical brilliance but made it clear that their relationship had soured beyond repair. “We made some great sh*t, bro,” he said. “He’s a genius. And his intuition is even more genius level… But that’s why me and him don’t get along, because he sees through my fakeness with him. He knows I don’t think he’s a man. He knows it.”
Pusha T didn’t hold back in the interview, adding, “He’s showed me the weakest sides of him, and he knows how I think of weak people.” Those remarks now appear to line up with the “So Be It” bar, reinforcing fan theories that he’s venting long-standing frustrations through his music.
Interestingly, Kanye had expressed longing for reconciliation not long before the GQ feature went live. Following the release of Clipse’s comeback single “Ace Trumpets,” West took to social media to share, “I miss me and Pusha’s friendship.” The heartfelt comment now reads as tragically ironic in light of the biting verse previewed in “So Be It.”
Despite the tension, fans of Clipse are more excited than ever for the duo’s upcoming album. Let God Sort Em Out is scheduled for release on July 11, 2025 — their first full-length project since 2009’s Til the Casket Drops. The album is fully produced by Pharrell Williams and features heavyweight guest appearances from Kendrick Lamar, John Legend, and Stove God Cooks.
As anticipation grows, so does the drama. And if “So Be It” is any indication, Clipse isn’t just making a return — they’re coming back with something to say.
