Eminem Makes Fiery Cameo in ‘Happy Gilmore 2’ Trailer, Clashes with Adam Sandler

Eminem has made a surprise appearance in the newly released trailer for Happy Gilmore 2, sending fans into a frenzy with a short but fiery exchange with Adam Sandler. Though his cameo is brief, the rap icon makes a memorable impression, appearing in disguise before hurling the word “jackass” at Sandler’s character in what looks to be the start of a comical confrontation.

The trailer teases a hilarious new chapter in the cult-classic golf comedy, with Eminem’s unexpected presence standing out among the film’s many celebrity cameos. Sandler, who reprises his role as the brash but lovable Happy Gilmore, recently spoke about Eminem’s involvement during an appearance on The Dan Patrick Show, offering high praise for the Detroit rapper.

“Eminem was cool, he came by, he was great,” Sandler shared. “I’ve known Eminem for a long time, he’s a great guy and he came in and was funny as hell. I think we just hung out a day with Eminem and he just shot and shot and he was insane. [He] said a million things we can use and a million that we’re glad we have him on tape.”

Alongside Eminem, the trailer features a host of other high-profile cameos. Music and sports fans will spot appearances from Bad Bunny, Travis Kelce, Post Malone, and Becky Lynch, as well as top pro golfers including Rory McIlroy, Jordan Spieth, and Scottie Scheffler. The star-studded lineup hints at the over-the-top fun the sequel has in store.

Happy Gilmore 2, set to premiere on Netflix on July 25, follows Happy as he comes out of retirement to fund his daughter’s ballet tuition. The story picks up years after the events of the original 1996 film, bringing back beloved characters while introducing new ones into the mix.

In addition to Sandler, the sequel sees the return of Ben Stiller, Christopher McDonald, and Julie Bowen. Sadly, several stars from the original film—Carl Weathers, Richard Kiel, and Frances Bay—have passed away since its release, making the return of the franchise a bittersweet moment for longtime fans.

Eminem won’t be the only rapper featured in the film. Kid Cudi has confirmed his own role in the sequel, expressing his excitement in an Instagram post: “I’ve been wanting to talk about this for a minute!!! This is so fuckin HUGE. Its been a long time dream of mine to work w Adam, hes my favorite, and his movies and comedy made up my childhood. Another dream come true. BLESSED!! Get ready, this ones gonna be EPIC.”

Cam’ron is also reportedly involved, with speculation that his role may tie into his It Is What It Is sports talk show, potentially as another comedic cameo.

With an all-star cast, nostalgic throwbacks, and a surprise dose of Slim Shady, Happy Gilmore 2 is shaping up to be one of the year’s most talked-about comedy releases.
