Drake Admits to Losing Millions in Sports Bets: “Gotta Share the Other Side of Gambling”

Drake has never been shy about his love for high-stakes sports betting, but in a rare moment of transparency, the global rap superstar pulled back the curtain on the not-so-glamorous side of his gambling habit.

Taking to Instagram on Wednesday night, Drake revealed he’s taken a significant hit over the past month, losing millions of dollars across various bets. Sharing a screenshot of his betting profits—or lack thereof—from the last month, two weeks, and past week, the For All the Dogs rapper admitted he’s deep in the red.

“Gotta share the other side of gambling,” Drake wrote, according to AllHipHop. “Losses are so fried right now. I hope I can post a big win for you all soon cause I’m the only one that has never seen a max—these guys max once a week.”

While the post didn’t disclose specific bets, Drake’s gambling interests over the past month have reportedly included the NBA and NHL Playoffs, as well as a surprising wager on cricket. On June 2, he placed a $750,000 bet on the Royal Challengers Bengaluru to beat the Punjab Kings, though the outcome of that wager likely added to his recent slump.

Despite the string of losses, Drake isn’t stepping away from the betting game. In fact, he’s doubling down. He’s already placed a whopping $600,000 bet on the Oklahoma City Thunder to clinch the NBA Championship in Game 6 against the Indiana Pacers, plus an additional $200,000 on the Thunder winning by a 6–10 point margin. The Thunder currently lead the series 3-2 following a standout 40-point performance by Jalen Williams on Monday.

Drake’s betting adventures have become part of his larger-than-life persona, often shared with fans on Instagram and during his livestreams. But while the big wins usually make headlines, this latest confession highlights the unpredictability of gambling—even for someone with Drake’s bankroll.

Outside of sports betting, Drake is keeping busy with music. Following the release of his recent collaboration with PartyNextDoor, $ome $exy $ongs 4 U, he confirmed that a new solo album is also on the way. Though no release date has been officially announced, fans believe the project might be titled Iceman, based on a cryptic Instagram post.

Streamer Adin Ross, who recently hung out with Drake on Kick, added fuel to the hype, claiming the album is already complete. “I can’t tell too much, but yes, the new album is going to be amazing,” Ross teased during a livestream. “It’s a very, very, very important album for Drake’s career… that s**t tough.”

While the losses might sting, it’s clear Drake isn’t slowing down—whether it’s betting big on the Thunder or preparing to drop what could be one of the most defining albums of his career.
