Kid Cudi has spoken out after taking the stand in what he described as a “stressful” and emotional experience during Sean “Diddy” Combs’ high-profile sex trafficking trial. He testified that in December 2011, Cassie called him in distress, revealing that Diddy had found out about their relationship.
That same night, Cudi claimed a friend informed him that Diddy was inside his home. When Cudi called Diddy, the music mogul reportedly told him, “I’m over here waiting for you.” Upon returning to his residence, Cudi said he discovered that his security cameras had been disabled and that several of his personal belongings had been tampered with—including Christmas presents meant for his family.
The most disturbing part of the break-in, according to Cudi, was that his dog had been injured and locked in a bathroom. “After that, my dog was jittery and on edge,” he testified.
The “Pursuit of Happiness” artist said the break-in left him deeply shaken and angry. “I wanted to confront him, I wanted to fight him,” he said in court, describing his reaction to the home invasion. He also confirmed that he filed a police report following the incident.
