The Weeknd Announces Exclusive One-Night-Only Screening for Hurry Up Tomorrow

The Weeknd is offering fans an exclusive opportunity to experience his upcoming film, Hurry Up Tomorrow, ahead of its general release. The singer announced a special one-night-only screening scheduled for May 14, with tickets becoming available on April 17. Attendees will not only be the first to view the film but will also have access to exclusive bonus content. Additionally, limited-edition signed posters and t-shirts will be available as part of a ticket bundle.

Hurry Up Tomorrow serves as a companion piece to The Weeknd’s sixth studio album of the same name, which debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 in February 2025, achieving significant first-week sales. The film is directed by Trey Edward Shults and features a cast that includes Barry Keoghan and Jenna Ortega, alongside The Weeknd in his feature film debut. The Weeknd also collaborated with Daniel Lopatin on the film’s score.

Lionsgate Motion Picture Group chair Adam Fogelson expressed enthusiasm for the project, stating that The Weeknd’s artistic vision transcends mediums and that Hurry Up Tomorrow will offer audiences a unique cinematic experience.

The album Hurry Up Tomorrow has been met with critical and commercial acclaim, marking the largest week for any album since Taylor Swift’s The Tortured Poets Department in May 2024, and the biggest for an R&B/hip-hop album since Travis Scott’s Utopia in August 2023. This release represents a significant increase from The Weeknd’s previous album, Dawn FM, which debuted at number two on the charts in 2022.

Hurry Up Tomorrow is the final installment in The Weeknd’s trilogy, following 2020’s After Hours and 2022’s Dawn FM. It has been suggested that this may be The Weeknd’s final release under his current stage name, marking the end of a defining era in his career.

Fans eager to be part of this exclusive screening event should mark their calendars for April 17 to secure tickets for the May 14 showing.
