Megan Thee Stallion’s Coachella Performance Sparks Speculation of Subtle Jab at Nicki Minaj

Megan Thee Stallion is once again at the center of hip hop buzz after her electrifying performance at Coachella 2025 sparked speculation of a subtle troll aimed at Nicki Minaj. The rapper took the stage with high energy, a killer setlist, and one unexpected guest — a person dressed in a full-body Bigfoot costume.

The moment didn’t go unnoticed, especially given the recent history between Megan and Nicki. Fans were quick to connect the dots: Nicki Minaj had released a diss track titled “Big Foot” during their heated feud in 2024 — a track aimed squarely at Megan following the release of her own scathing record, Hiss. The appearance of “Bigfoot” on stage felt like more than just a quirky Coachella prop — for many, it read as a bold, tongue-in-cheek clapback.

When The Neighborhood Talk shared a clip of the performance on Instagram, fan reactions were split. Some praised Megan’s creativity and charisma. “Meg is everything y’all want y’all fav to be as an entertainer which is why y’all hate so hard. She can rap. She can dance. She has stage presence. She’s pretty AF… and she had a likable attitude,” one fan wrote.

Others, however, questioned the timing of the move. “I love Meg, don’t get me wrong… but it’s literally been a year and some change since that beef with her and Nicki. It would’ve been funny if she did it last year on tour,” another commenter noted.

The Megan and Nicki saga has had fans talking for years. The two stars originally linked up in 2019 for the summer anthem Hot Girl Summer, but things quickly turned sour. After Megan collaborated with Cardi B on the viral hit WAP, Nicki distanced herself — first unfollowing Megan on social media, and later taking shots in her verse on Seeing Green.

Their feud escalated dramatically at the start of 2024 when Megan released Hiss, a track loaded with bars many interpreted as direct shots at Nicki. “These h–s don’t be mad at Megan, these h–s mad at Megan’s Law… B—h, you a p—y, never finna check me,” she rapped. Nicki responded with Big Foot, a track that not only clapped back but seemed to mock Megan’s 2020 shooting incident — something fans and critics alike found controversial.

Despite the public back-and-forth, Megan told Billboard last year that she still doesn’t fully understand what triggered their fallout. “I still to this day don’t know what the problem is,” she said. “I don’t even know what could be reconciled because I, to this day, don’t know what the problem is.”

Whether the Bigfoot stunt was a direct troll or just playful stage theatrics, it’s clear Megan knows how to keep fans talking. And if her performance at Coachella proved anything, it’s that the “Hot Girl Coach” remains as unbothered — and as unmissable — as ever.
