Kendrick Lamar Dominates 2025 American Music Awards With 10 Nominations

Kendrick Lamar is leading the charge at the 2025 American Music Awards with a staggering 10 nominations, making him the most nominated artist of the year. The Compton rapper is recognized across major categories, including three separate nods in Favorite Hip-Hop Song for “Like That” with Future and Metro Boomin, “Not Like Us,” and “Luther” featuring SZA.

His album GNX is also up for Album of the Year and Favorite Hip-Hop Album, further cementing Lamar’s influence on both mainstream and hip-hop culture this year. He’s also competing for Artist of the Year, going up against the likes of SZA, Taylor Swift, and Morgan Wallen.

SZA isn’t far behind with six nominations. She’s recognized in prestigious categories like Artist of the Year, Favorite Female R&B Artist, and Favorite R&B Song for her ethereal track “Saturn.” Her collaboration with Kendrick on “Luther” is also nominated for Collaboration of the Year and Favorite Hip-Hop Song.

Doechii continues to carve her lane in the industry with two major nominations: Favorite Female Hip-Hop Artist and Social Song of the Year for her viral anthem “Anxiety.”

The 51st annual AMAs will be hosted by Jennifer Lopez and broadcast live from Las Vegas on May 26 at 8 p.m. ET on CBS, with streaming available via Paramount+ in the U.S. Fan voting is open until May 15 on the AMAs official website and Instagram page (@AMAs).
