JID Reflects on Disappointment from The Forever Story and Prepares for New Album Forever & A Day

The turning point came when he was in the studio, hearing a beat from Pluss that reignited his passion. “All I could hear was my OG coach saying, ‘Let’s go to WORK,'” JID shared. This moment of clarity led him to embrace the mantra, “You can only control what you can control,” which has shaped his approach to both life and music. “This is the first step into a new world that I control… and it’s fuckin UGLY.”

JID’s announcement that his upcoming album, Forever & A Day, is finished has further hyped fans. Speaking to i-D magazine during Paris Fashion Week, he confirmed, “It’s done. It’s turned in — it’s been turned in.
