Drake’s Producer Gordo Reacts to Mustard Unfollowing Him Amid Kendrick Lamar Feud

The ongoing tension between Drake and Kendrick Lamar seems to be pulling others into its orbit — with the latest fallout being between producers Gordo and Mustard.

On Monday (April 14), Gordo — a frequent collaborator of Drake’s — took to X (formerly Twitter) to react to Mustard apparently unfollowing him on Instagram. His response was laced with sarcasm but hinted at deeper industry divides.

“omg just noticed mustard unfollowed me on ig…. Sad day… headlining chella must of got to his head,” Gordo wrote, seemingly mocking the move while referencing his own success at Coachella.

The timing is hard to ignore. Mustard has been vocally aligned with Kendrick Lamar throughout the ongoing beef between the Compton lyricist and Toronto’s superstar. As one of the minds behind Kendrick’s viral diss track “Not Like Us,” Mustard hasn’t shied away from taking shots at Drake — whether directly or by association.

Back in November, during his Camp Flog Gnaw set, Mustard trolled Drake by pretending to play “Crew Love” — one of Drizzy’s beloved collaborations with The Weeknd — only to cut it off at the last second and spin into Kendrick, Future, and Metro Boomin’s “Like That,” the explosive anthem that ignited the current feud. The move got the crowd hyped and further cemented his stance in the Drake vs. Kendrick saga.

The theatrics didn’t stop there. Mustard opened his set with a haunting lead-in from The Sixth Sense, before cutting to the now-iconic line from “Not Like Us”: “Psst, I see dead people.” When the lights came on, Mustard stood behind the turntables with a massive mural behind him — a tribute to Los Angeles featuring Kendrick Lamar, Nipsey Hussle, Kobe Bryant, and the L.A. Dodgers.

This wasn’t an isolated jab. In a July 2024 interview with the Los Angeles Times, Mustard made it clear he had no intention of working with Drake again, despite their past hit “Who Do You Love?” “I don’t think I want to make a song with that dude. He’s a strange guy,” he said, leaving little room for misinterpretation.

Meanwhile, Gordo has continued to publicly support Drake, even revealing that the OVO boss remained “happy” throughout the beef with Kendrick. The comment, made in a July 2024 interview, suggested that Drake wasn’t taking the feud as seriously as some fans might believe.

Still, as tensions escalate and lines are clearly being drawn in hip hop’s latest heavyweight clash, even industry insiders and producers are being forced to choose sides — and it’s becoming increasingly clear where Mustard and Gordo stand.
