Coachella 2025 Kicks Off Tonight: Lineup, Livestream Options, and Surprises

For the next two weekends, thousands of music lovers will gather in Indio, California, for the highly anticipated Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival. As the most popular music festival in the U.S., Coachella has consistently delivered unforgettable performances from some of the biggest names in the industry. This year’s edition promises to be no different, with an all-star lineup that includes Lady Gaga, Green Day, Travis Scott, and Post Malone as headliners.

Travis Scott was initially set to headline Coachella in 2020 before the COVID-19 pandemic forced its cancellation. However, he is no stranger to the festival, having performed there in 2017. Lady Gaga will be making her return as a Coachella headliner for the second time after stepping in for Beyoncé in 2017 when the latter withdrew due to pregnancy.

How to Watch Coachella 2025 From Home

For those unable to attend the festival in person, Coachella is offering a brand-new way to experience the event remotely. The newly launched Coachella Livestream App allows users to create personalized livestream schedules, set performance reminders, and rewatch sets on demand. The app is available for download on both the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.

In addition, Coachella’s official YouTube channel will once again provide comprehensive livestream coverage of the festival, offering individual streams for each stage. Fans will also be able to take advantage of a multi-view option, allowing them to stream up to four stages simultaneously. The festival kicks off tonight at 7 PM EST / 4 PM PST.

A Look at This Year’s Lineup

Coachella 2025 boasts a diverse and exciting lineup, featuring a mix of established icons and rising stars.

  • Friday Performers (April 11 & April 18): Lady Gaga, Missy Elliott, GloRilla, Tyla, LISA, and Ravyn Lenae.
  • Saturday Performers (April 12 & April 19): Green Day, Clairo, T-Pain, Beth Gibbons (Portishead), and Charli XCX, whose set may mark the conclusion of her Brat era amid rumors of new music.
  • Sunday Performers (April 13 & April 20): Post Malone, Megan Thee Stallion, Ty Dolla $ign, Rema, Shaboozey, and JENNIE.

Travis Scott is also set to perform but has yet to announce his specific day. He has hinted at plans to “redesign” the venue for his performance, raising excitement about what surprises he has in store.

Is Frank Ocean Teasing New Music?

While Frank Ocean is not on the official Coachella lineup, a mysterious billboard outside Coachella Valley reading “KIKI BOY 2025” has fans buzzing. The phrase has been linked to the elusive artist, who recently created a Finsta (private Instagram account) using the same name. Adding to the speculation, the profile picture on the account is from a 1998 interview in which Michael Jordan discussed coming out of retirement.

Frank Ocean’s last album, Blonde, was released in 2016, and his 2023 Coachella set was widely criticized for its last-minute changes and lackluster execution. While it’s unlikely that he will make an appearance at this year’s festival, the cryptic hints suggest that new music may finally be on the way.

A Festival Experience Like No Other

With a star-studded lineup, new technology for at-home viewing, and plenty of surprises in store, Coachella 2025 is shaping up to be one of the most exciting editions yet. Whether attending in person or tuning in from home, music fans will have plenty to look forward to as the festival kicks off tonight.
