Cam’ron & Ma$e Reveal Their Top Three White Rappers of All Time

As debates around the best white rappers continue to stir social media, Cam’ron and Ma$e decided to weigh in with their personal picks — and their selections are sparking conversations of their own.

During the April 15 episode of their hit sports talk show It Is What It Is, co-host Treasure “Stat Baby” Wilson asked the Harlem rap legends to name their top three white MCs of all time. What followed was a mix of mainstream icons, cultural pioneers, and personal favorites.

Ma$e’s Picks: Eminem, MGK/Yelawolf, and Jack Harlow

Ma$e opened the conversation by giving credit where credit is due. “Eminem first, of course,” he stated without hesitation. He also gave a shoutout to Millyz, the white rapper from Philly signed to Jadakiss, though he didn’t include him in his final list.

For his second pick, Ma$e hesitated between Machine Gun Kelly and Yelawolf, asking Cam for input. Cam vouched for MGK, noting, “I’ma go MGK ’cause he’s my man. No disrespect to Yelawolf, I just don’t know a lot of his music.”

Ma$e then added an honorable mention for the Beastie Boys but quickly revised his rankings. “I forgot about Jack Harlow! I gotta do my list over. Jack Harlow is definitely up there,” he said, placing the Louisville rapper firmly in the mix.

Cam’ron’s Picks: Eminem, 3rd Bass, and Mac Miller

Cam’ron, always thoughtful in his takes, also gave Eminem the top spot, saying: “Eminem’s definitely number one for me.” He followed that with a pick rooted in hip hop history: 3rd Bass.

“They had the Black community when it was really hard for a white person to excel in the Black community,” Cam said of the pioneering group. “It’s not like they had Eminem lyrics and shit, but they pushed the culture forward at a tough time.”

For his third pick, Cam showed love to the late Mac Miller, calling him a solid representation of white artistry in hip hop. “God bless the dead — Mac Miller,” he said. “Jack Harlow’s definitely up there as well, but I wouldn’t put him above the three people that I named.”

He added a note about the Beastie Boys, saying, “I wasn’t really a big Beastie Boys fan, to be totally honest with you. To me, they were more rock ‘n’ roll than rap.”

MGK Feels Left Out of the Mount Rushmore Debate

Although Cam and Ma$e gave props to Machine Gun Kelly, his name was absent from a recent AI-generated Mount Rushmore of white rappers that featured Eminem, Mac Miller, Paul Wall, and Russ. MGK wasn’t too pleased about the snub, responding online: “Me not on the white rapper mt rushmore is blasphemy.”

Cam’ron Regrets Not Collaborating With Eminem

In a related revelation, Cam’ron recently shared a personal regret from his rap career. Speaking on his YouTube show Talk With Flee, he admitted that he wishes he had collaborated with Eminem during the height of both their careers.

“There was a time, probably when we first came out in the late ’90s, early ’00s, I wanted to work with Eminem,” he said. “I dumb a lot of my shit down for my audience, but I thought that would have been a sensational record.”

He also mentioned that he would have loved to work with Nas, another New York legend he holds in high regard.

A Timely Conversation

With white rappers continuing to carve out their own legacies in hip hop, Cam’ron and Ma$e’s candid rankings offer a mix of personal experience and historical insight. Whether fans agree or not, their picks have reignited an ongoing cultural conversation about diversity, influence, and lyrical skill in rap.
