50 Cent Shades Beyoncé Over Reported Slow Cowboy Carter Tour Ticket Sales

50 Cent is once again stirring the pot — and this time, his target is none other than Beyoncé. The outspoken rapper and media mogul took to Instagram to throw shade at the pop superstar after reports surfaced that her Cowboy Carter tour is struggling to sell out stadiums.
According to TMZ, the opening night of Beyoncé’s latest tour at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles still had thousands of unsold seats just hours before showtime — a surprising twist for an artist who has long dominated ticket sales with record-breaking tours.
Always quick with a quip, 50 Cent reposted the report with a jab that instantly caught attention:
“Shit getting real out here. Hey the tickets ain’t selling?” he wrote, alongside a screenshot of the news.
While Beyoncé has not responded to the remark, her tour’s performance — at least on opening night — is sparking wider conversations about fan demand for her latest musical direction. Cowboy Carter, her genre-bending country album, marked a bold shift from her usual R&B and pop-heavy catalog. And if the tour is anything like the album, fans shouldn’t expect many of her classic hits during the stadium shows.
Instead, opening night featured an almost exclusively Cowboy Carter-inspired setlist, focusing on the new material rather than nostalgic crowd-pleasers — a decision that may be contributing to the slower ticket movement.
50’s shot at Beyoncé isn’t entirely out of left field, given his long-standing feud with her husband, JAY-Z. The Queens native has taken repeated digs at Hov over the years, including accusing him of trying to keep him out of the 2022 Super Bowl Halftime Show lineup.
In a 2024 interview with Cam’ron on Talk With Flee, 50 claimed JAY-Z told the NFL that there was an “issue” with his inclusion.
“He was doing some slick shit. He was saying to Eminem that the NFL had the issue with me. And I’m like, ‘Well, what’s the issue?’” 50 said, expressing frustration over being sidelined despite his massive success in both music and business.
The Get Rich or Die Tryin’ rapper has also taken subtle shots at Beyoncé in the past, including playfully mocking an AI-generated country version of his hit “In Da Club,” cheekily linking it to her musical pivot.
Adding more fuel to the fire, 50 appeared to relish in headlines surrounding JAY-Z’s legal issues last year, when the rapper was briefly named in a lawsuit that was later dropped after inconsistencies were found in the accuser’s story. JAY-Z has denied any wrongdoing and never addressed 50’s comments directly.
Despite 50 Cent’s taunts, Beyoncé remains one of the most powerful entertainers on the planet. Whether or not Cowboy Carter will resonate with her global fanbase in stadium form remains to be seen, but her creative evolution continues to spark conversation — and occasionally, controversy.
