Eminem Joins Elite Club Surpassing 60 Million Spotify Streams

Eminem has cemented his status as one of hip-hop’s most enduring figures, recently surpassing 60 million streams on Spotify. This milestone makes him the third-most streamed rapper on the platform, placing him alongside Travis Scott and Drake in a rarefied group of digital heavyweights.

Travis Scott passed the 58 million mark in July and currently holds 60.304 million streams, just ahead of Eminem’s 60.087 million, according to Kworb. These numbers position them at numbers eight and nine on Spotify’s all-time most-streamed artist list. Eminem joins artists like Ed Sheeran, Ariana Grande, Justin Bieber, The Weeknd, Bad Bunny, Taylor Swift, and Drake, whose 123 million streams top the chart by a wide margin. The next rapper likely to join the 60 million club is Kanye West, with 58.725 million streams.

These streaming figures underscore Eminem’s longevity and relevance across multiple generations of hip-hop fans. From his early albums to The Death of Slim Shady, his catalog continues to resonate with old and new listeners alike. Should Eminem release another album, it is likely to further elevate his streaming numbers, reinforcing his position among digital music elites.

Outside of streaming, Eminem is navigating legal challenges. His publishing company recently filed a lawsuit against Meta over alleged copyright infringement, a case that could take various directions in the months ahead.

Meanwhile, Eminem’s influence in shaping modern hip-hop remains evident. In a recent interview, Juvenile revealed he played a key role in connecting 50 Cent with Eminem early in 50 Cent’s career. “When I went over [to a D12 music video shoot] with [former G-Unit president] Sha Money XL, my first thing was telling him the type of music Em doing and the type of music 50 doing with the diss thing. It’s going to work if he go with him. And it worked,” he recalled.

Eminem’s 60 million streams on Spotify not only highlight his continued relevance in the streaming era but also his enduring impact on the hip-hop landscape. With a career spanning decades and a legacy that influences both old and new artists, Slim Shady remains a benchmark for success in modern rap.
