Tory Lanez Makes Public Plea to Win Back Iggy Azalea on Peterson

Despite serving time for the 2020 shooting of Megan Thee Stallion, Tory Lanez has not only continued making music but has also taken the opportunity to try and rekindle his romance with Iggy Azalea. The Canadian rapper makes his feelings clear on multiple tracks from his new album, Peterson, including one song that directly references Azalea’s real name.

A Direct Appeal to Iggy Azalea

On 9$IDE x Amethyst, Tory Lanez dedicates much of the track to rapping about his former flame. He doesn’t hold back, expressing regret over how things ended and making it known that he still has feelings for her.

“It be nights I want to talk to Iggy, but she blocked me / Amethyst, if you ever hear this shit, shawty, call me,” he raps, before reminiscing on their past. “I miss when you wrapped around my body like a tall tee.”

Lanez goes on to call himself the “richest n***a in the prison” and suggests that he should have stayed with Azalea instead of moving on. Later in the song, after a beat switch, he continues his plea, singing in a melodic tone about wanting to pick up where they left off.

“Amethyst, if you still free, shawty, let me know / Let me pick up where we left off, shawty, I’ll be yours.”

He even makes it clear that he hopes to reunite with her once he’s released:

“‘Cause I got plans of fucking you when I get home.”

Another Shoutout on Guide Me Through the Storm

Lanez doesn’t stop there. On Guide Me Through the Storm, he again references his relationship with Azalea, acknowledging the difficulties they faced but insisting that he cared deeply for her.

“County jail crying real tears to Iggy Azalea / I know you put up with some shit that just wasn’t familiar.”

He then dismisses the allegations against him, stating, “They lying, trying to get me fucked, but I wasn’t Cecilia.”

Their Past Relationship & Iggy’s Letter of Support

Tory Lanez and Iggy Azalea were rumored to be dating before his legal troubles escalated. During his trial, Azalea made headlines by writing a letter to the judge, urging leniency in Lanez’s sentencing.

“I deeply appreciate the person he is and have never witnessed him [lose] his temper or raise his voice at a woman,” she wrote.

She also revealed that she had hired six of Lanez’s former employees to ensure they had work while he was incarcerated. “I’m doing all I can to make sure he’s in a position to come home and get back to work,” she added.

Will Iggy Respond?

Despite Lanez’s heartfelt attempts to reconnect, Azalea has yet to publicly respond to his musical plea. Given that she reportedly blocked him, it remains to be seen whether she will be open to rekindling their past romance. However, Peterson makes one thing clear—Tory Lanez hasn’t moved on.
