Kendrick Lamar & SZA Dominate Billboard Hot 100 as “Luther” Stays No. 1 for Third Week

Kendrick Lamar and SZA continue their reign atop the music industry as their latest collaboration, Luther, holds the No. 1 spot on the Billboard Hot 100 for the third consecutive week. Billboard confirmed the track’s position on Monday (March 10), marking yet another milestone for both artists.

With this achievement, Luther now ties Kendrick’s previous chart-toppers, Not Like Us and Like That, as his longest-running No. 1 hit. The song’s success highlights the undeniable chemistry between the two TDE artists, who have a history of delivering powerful and memorable collaborations.

Kendrick & SZA Take Their Success on the Road

As their single continues to dominate the charts, Kendrick Lamar and SZA are preparing to hit the road for their highly anticipated Grand National Tour, which was announced earlier this year.

The tour kicks off on April 19 in Minneapolis, MN, and will make stops in major cities such as Houston, Philadelphia, San Francisco, Las Vegas, and Chicago before wrapping up on June 18 in Landover, MD. Fans in Los Angeles, St. Louis, and Toronto—the respective hometowns of Kendrick, SZA, and Drake—will also get a chance to witness the duo’s electrifying performances.

A Kendrick & SZA Album in the Works?

Beyond their chart dominance and upcoming tour, fans have been buzzing about the possibility of a full collaborative album from Kendrick and SZA. During an appearance on The Sherri Shepherd Show, the R&B star expressed her enthusiasm for the idea when asked if she would consider making a joint project with Kendrick.

“I would love that,” SZA said, drawing applause from the audience. “I think that would be amazing. He’s such a genius, and part of his genius is him being so elusive and so mysterious.”

While nothing has been confirmed, the two artists will be spending plenty of time together on tour, which could open the door for more collaborations in the future.

SZA Hints at Retirement

Despite her continued success, SZA has been vocal about her desire to step away from music. At the beginning of 2025, she surprised fans by revealing her plans to take a completely different creative direction for her final two albums before leaving the industry altogether.

“To fulfill my last 2 album requirements I think I just wanna make peaceful children’s music n get outta here,” she posted on X (formerly Twitter). “Then go be a farmer n donate the produce to underserved communities.”

Her statement came just as her SOS album—re-released as the Lana deluxe edition—returned to the top of the Billboard 200. While her future in music remains uncertain, there’s no denying the impact she continues to make.

For now, Kendrick Lamar and SZA remain at the pinnacle of the music world, proving once again why they are two of the most influential artists of their generation. Whether or not a full album collaboration materializes, Luther has already cemented itself as one of the defining songs of 2025.
