The 2025 Hot 97 Summer Jam lineup has officially been revealed, and this year’s festival promises to be a must-attend event for hip-hop and R&B fans alike. With a diverse mix of seasoned veterans and rising stars, the lineup includes performances from Gunna, GloRilla, Jim Jones (and friends), A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie, Muni Long, Ja Rule, Kash Doll, Cash Cobain, Ayra Starr, Asake, Bobby Konders & Jabba featuring Masicka, and 41 (Kyle Richh, Jenn Carter, and Tata).

As always, there’s a chance for surprise appearances, with Hot 97 known for bringing out special guests at the last minute. With a star-studded bill already confirmed, fans are eager to see who else might take the stage.

Ja Rule’s Tribute to Irv Gotti

This year’s event will be especially emotional as Ja Rule pays tribute to his longtime collaborator and friend, Irv Gotti. The hip-hop community continues to mourn the loss of the legendary producer, who played a pivotal role in shaping the sound of Murder Inc. Records. Ja Rule’s set is expected to be both a celebration of their musical legacy and a heartfelt farewell to a man who helped craft some of the biggest hits of the early 2000s.

When and Where

Hot 97 Summer Jam 2025 will take place on Friday, June 20, at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey. Fans looking to secure their spot at the festival can grab tickets through Ticketmaster, with presale tickets available starting Wednesday, April 2, and general sales beginning Friday, April 4.

Shelby Joyner, founder of SJ Presents and president of the Black Promoters Collective, expressed excitement for this year’s festival, stating:

“Summer Jam is the pinnacle of hip-hop culture, and we’re honored to bring this electrifying experience to fans once again. This year’s lineup is a testament to the genre’s evolution, featuring both chart-topping superstars and rising talent who are shaping the future of hip-hop.”

An Event Not to Be Missed

Beyond the music, Summer Jam is known for being a cultural moment—one that brings the hottest names in hip-hop together on one stage. With Jim Jones also slated to perform amid his ongoing tensions with 50 Cent and former Dipset member Cam’ron, fans are curious if any unexpected moments will unfold on stage.

Regardless of industry drama, the focus remains on delivering an unforgettable show. From Gunna and GloRilla’s high-energy performances to Afrobeats stars Ayra Starr and Asake representing global talent, the 2025 Hot 97 Summer Jam is shaping up to be one of the biggest hip-hop events of the year.
