6ix9ine’s Seized Plaques and Jewelry Fetch High Prices at IRS Auction

6ix9ine may not be topping the charts like he once did, but his legacy in the music industry continues to hold value—literally. The rapper’s Platinum and Gold commemorative plaques, which were seized by the IRS last year due to tax issues, recently went up for auction and sold for much higher prices than expected.

According to AllHipHop, several of 6ix9ine’s awards exceeded their estimated values. His Platinum plaque for “GOOBA” sold for $10,250, despite its projected worth being between $4,000 and $6,000. His “BEBE” plaque saw an even more dramatic jump, fetching $19,000—over three times its initial estimate. Meanwhile, the award for “STOOPID” sold for $12,000, doubling its anticipated value.

The rapper’s breakout hit “GUMMO” also performed well at auction. Two separate Platinum plaques for the track, each awarded to different record labels, had estimated values of $4,000 to $6,000 but ended up selling for $14,250 and $13,500, respectively.

While 6ix9ine’s plaques garnered impressive prices, the results for his jewelry were mixed. Some of his well-known pieces, such as his “Billy the Puppet” Jigsaw pendant and “Bruce the Shark” diamond pendant, sold at or below their expected prices. However, other items, including watches and smaller necklaces, outperformed their estimates.

The auction was conducted by Market Auctions on behalf of the IRS and featured a total of 63 items. Authorities had raided 6ix9ine’s Florida home in April 2024, citing “nonpayment of internal revenue taxes.”

The rapper addressed the situation in an Instagram Story last month, revealing that the raid occurred while he was in the Dominican Republic. “One year ago when I was stuck in [the Dominican Republic], the feds made a raid for the entire house because I did not report my income for four years,” he wrote. “For them, it was seen as if I was running and hiding in DR, when in reality, I could not leave and return to the USA.”

He also suggested that a video he had previously posted—showing a safe full of cash—contributed to the seizure of his jewelry. “This was the reason the Feds did the raid,” he claimed. “They broke into this safe thinking there was money in there, but it was only the jewelry.”

Despite his ongoing legal and financial troubles, 6ix9ine continues to make headlines, whether through his music, controversies, or the high-value auction of his once-prized possessions.
