50 Cent Expands Business Empire with New Sports & Entertainment Venue in Shreveport

50 Cent is making big moves in Shreveport, Louisiana, as he continues to expand his growing business empire. The rap mogul and entertainment powerhouse has secured a long-term lease for the Stageworks building, which he plans to transform into a cutting-edge sports and entertainment venue.

The Shreveport City Council officially gave 50 the green light for his new venture during a meeting on Tuesday (March 25). Already leasing a major film and TV studio in the city, the G-Unit boss is now set to bring even more opportunities to the area.

The venue will undergo renovations to accommodate a wide range of events, including basketball, volleyball, boxing, and MMA fights. It will also host concerts, car shows, and conventions, making it a major entertainment hub for the city.

50 Cent’s deal comes with a 30-year lease on the property, with the option to extend it for another 15 years. Surprisingly, his G-Unit Films & Television company will only pay $200 per month in rent, though he will be responsible for all maintenance and operational costs.

50 Cent Promises to “Overdeliver” for Shreveport

After securing the lease, 50 expressed his excitement about the project and his growing connection to the Shreveport community.

“I just want to say, in the short period of time, I’ve come to like the people of Shreveport in a different way. It feels like home for me, and eventually, it’ll be home because I have some work to do,” he said at the council meeting.

Reflecting on his journey in the city, he recalled a conversation with Councilman Alan Jackson: “The first thing he said was, ‘Well, what’s next?’ And I was like, ‘I think I need to talk to tourism. I think I need to talk to all of these other people to build it out.’”

He also assured Councilman Jim Taliaferro and the city leaders that he intends to make a major impact. “I promise you, I’ll overdeliver with Shreveport,” he declared. “Like you see, it was filled to capacity when we were here for Humor & Harmony. I have programs and plans for the facilities, so you’ll be able to look at the things that are happening throughout the year, and it’ll be actively used in a different way.”

A Major Win for 50 Cent’s Expanding Business Ventures

50 Cent took to Instagram to celebrate the news, sharing headlines about the deal and writing, “All Roads Lead to Shreveport! Stop hating, it’s show time.”

This latest move adds another impressive milestone to 50 Cent’s growing list of business ventures. With his dominance in TV and film production, liquor brands, and now sports and entertainment, the rap mogul continues to prove why he remains one of hip-hop’s most successful entrepreneurs.
