Pusha T and Pharrell Williams have joined forces once again for a new track, “Mike Tyson Blow to the Face,” a bruising and lyrically potent song featured in Pharrell’s latest short film, All Day I Dream About Sport.
The song, produced by Pharrell under his legendary production duo The Neptunes, finds Pusha T at his most ruthless, delivering knockout bars that live up to the track’s title. Over a menacing beat, King Push throws lyrical haymakers, proving why he remains one of the sharpest pens in hip-hop. The track is one of three original songs Pharrell produced for the film’s soundtrack, though none have been officially released on streaming platforms yet. A snippet of “Mike Tyson Blow to the Face” has surfaced online, giving fans a taste of the duo’s latest magic.
The track is part of All Day I Dream About Sport, a 20-minute film co-directed by Pharrell and Gabriel Moses that explores West African culture through a unique, visually striking lens. The film, supported by Adidas, aims to capture the essence of Dakar, Senegal, and the concept of “the sport of everyday life.” Pharrell’s creative direction blends anthropology with raw emotion, expanding on Moses’ previous work with artists like Skepta and Travis Scott. A hardcover book accompanying the film is set for release this spring, further delving into its themes and artistic vision.
Beyond All Day I Dream About Sport, Pusha T and Pharrell are set to reignite their chemistry on the highly anticipated Clipse reunion album, Let God Sort ‘Em Out—their first in over 15 years. Speaking on the project, Pusha T described it as “a high taste-level piece of work”, while his brother and Clipse partner, Malice, emphasized its authenticity and craftsmanship. Pharrell is producing the entire album, an intentional move that Pusha sees as an homage to their roots and dedication to making full, cinematic bodies of work. Though no release date has been announced, Pusha confirmed in December that Let God Sort ‘Em Out is completely finished and ready to go.
“Mike Tyson Blow to the Face” serves as a hard-hitting preview of what’s to come from Pusha T and Pharrell. With Let God Sort ‘Em Out on the horizon, fans can expect more razor-sharp lyricism and top-tier production from one of hip-hop’s most revered duos. Are you excited for the Clipse’s comeback?
