NBA YoungBoy is gearing up for a major album release as he prepares for his upcoming release from prison. His team recently announced via his company’s Instagram page that a project titled More Leaks will drop on March 7, with its first single set for release on Friday, February 28.
“Last project before TOP is back,” they noted in the caption, hinting that this will be the rapper’s final release before his return. As the name suggests, the album appears to consist of older songs that previously leaked online.
This project follows I Just Got A Lot On My Shoulders, which was released in December 2024 as YoungBoy’s first album of the year. The upcoming album is expected to generate significant anticipation among fans awaiting his return.
Legal Troubles and Upcoming Release
Last month, it was announced that NBA YoungBoy is set to be released from prison on July 27. The rapper previously agreed to a plea deal related to a gun possession charge and his involvement in a prescription medication fraud scheme.
Initially sentenced to 23 months behind bars, five years of probation, and a $200,000 fine, YoungBoy also had to surrender the firearms involved in his 2020 Baton Rouge music video. However, his sentencing was later reduced to include time served, meaning he will now be released this summer.
YoungBoy also faced charges of third-degree felony identity fraud, felony forgery, and misdemeanor unlawful pharmacy conduct. As part of his plea deal, the four felony charges were downgraded to Class A Misdemeanors, resulting in a $25,000 fine and no additional prison time.
A Second Chance for Success
During his sentencing, Judge Spencer Walsh expressed hope for YoungBoy’s future, acknowledging his talent and potential.
“I’ve seen so many times where young men and women with a lot of talent and potential are robbed of their future due to struggles with addiction,” the judge stated. “I don’t want that for you. I’m sure that once you complete your federal prison time, you can be really successful on federal probation and reach your full potential.”
As NBA YoungBoy prepares for his return to music and freedom, fans eagerly await More Leaks and the next chapter in his career.
