Drake has surprised fans once again by dropping an unreleased track that didn’t make it onto his latest album, $ome $exy $ongs 4 U. Sharing the song on his burner Instagram account @plottttwistttttt on February 17, the rapper revealed that sample clearance issues prevented it from being included on the project.
The track features an artist Drake has referred to as his “GOAT,” but he did not reveal their identity. However, the song is a solo effort by rising New Orleans bounce artist Heaven.
Heaven herself hinted on Instagram that the track could still see an official release as part of a deluxe version of $ome $exy $ongs 4 U. “Yeah, he’s saving the best for next for sure. $$$. Drake’s deluxe album?” she wrote, sparking speculation among fans.
Drake’s latest album, which dropped on Valentine’s Day, includes features from emerging talents such as Mexican singer Chino Pacas, Houston-based artist Pim, and Yebba, who previously collaborated with Drake on Certified Lover Boy.
Despite receiving mixed reviews from both fans and critics, $ome $exy $ongs 4 U has made a significant impact on streaming platforms. The album amassed 56.6 million first-day streams on Spotify, making it the second-biggest debut of the year, behind The Weeknd’s Hurry Up Tomorrow. On Apple Music, the album set a new record for the most single-day streams for an R&B album.
The album also saw Drake momentarily surpass Kendrick Lamar for the highest single-day Spotify streams by a rapper in 2025, reaching a staggering 92.4 million plays.
Two major figures in the music industry have already expressed their approval of the project. Kanye West, despite his history of feuding with Drake, called the track “Gimme a Hug” from the album “incredible.” Young Thug, a longtime supporter of Drake, celebrated the album’s early success by tweeting: “That boy back number one.”
As the album continues to dominate streaming charts, fans are eager to see if a deluxe version will materialize, potentially including the unreleased Heaven track and other surprises from Drake.
