SZA Confirms New Album Before Year-End, Teases Collaboration with Lil Yachty

I’m trying to be a better rapper. I feel like Yachty’s lowkey [talented as fuck]. Not even lowkey.”

The upcoming album is rumored to be titled Lana. Earlier this year, SZA clarified speculation about the project, explaining that while fans had initially thought Lana was a deluxe edition of SOS, it is a standalone third album. After several leaks of tracks originally intended for the SOS deluxe edition, SZA decided to start fresh with Lana.

“So, we’ll make this really simple,” she stated. “Y’all leaked three songs from the deluxe. At this point, y’all can keep the throwaways and leaks. I’ll be starting Lana from scratch.”

In an earlier interview with Billboard, SZA shared her hope to close the SOS chapter with the deluxe edition, which has yet to be released. “After I do the deluxe, I’m hoping to be able to accept that this chapter is done,” she said.
