Kai Cenat Reclaims Subscriber Record with Epic Mafiathon Comeback
Back in March 2023, Kai Cenat made waves in the streaming world, especially on Twitch, with his first-ever Mafiathon subathon. His event was a game-changer, setting a new subscriber record with over 306,000 subs, surpassing the previous record held by streamer Ludwig. According to Dexerto, the New York native held onto the top spot until September of that year, when Ironmouse took the crown with her charity-driven subathon, obliterating Cenat’s record by more than 20,000 subscribers.
However, Cenat wasn’t done. This November, he returned with a vengeance, launching his second Mafiathon to reclaim the throne. And he brought out the big guns—welcoming some of the biggest names in hip-hop to join him on the stream, including Quavo, DDG, Lil Uzi Vert, Denzel Curry, Kodak Black, and GloRilla, to name just a few. Despite the star-studded lineup, Cenat’s journey was not without its obstacles. Just a few days into the marathon, he became the target of swatting attempts, which led to law enforcement showing up at his house during a live stream and even a brief suspension from the platform.
Despite these setbacks, Cenat remained resilient. By the third day of the subathon, he was already halfway to surpassing Ironmouse’s record of 326,252 subscribers. With the majority of November still ahead, Cenat surpassed the mark, and his reaction was nothing short of emotional. In a clip shared by DJ Akademiks, Cenat celebrated the milestone with his closest friends by his side, shouting, “Two times!” as his subscriber count continued to grow.
While some may try to downplay the achievement, there is no denying that Cenat’s feat is remarkable. The 22-year-old internet sensation has shown an incredible ability to engage his audience and stay at the top of the game, despite facing considerable challenges.
With over half the month still to go, it will be fascinating to see how many more subscribers Cenat gains. In a heartfelt post on X, he thanked his supporters: “LOST #1 A MONTH & SOME CHANGE AGO COMPLETELY PLANNED ANOTHER ONE IN LESS THAN 2 MONTHS AND CAME BACK AND WE GOT THE WORLD RECORD AGAIN. I LOVE ALL MY SUPPORTERS FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY HEART JOB STILL NOT FINISHED ONLY DAY 11!”
As the subathon continues, it’s clear that Kai Cenat’s influence on the streaming world is far from fading. This victory is just the latest chapter in what promises to be a long and successful journey.
