Doja Cat Extends Hot 200 Streak With New Album Vie and Announces Global Tour

Doja Cat has consistently proven herself as one of the most versatile artists in modern pop and hip hop. Her career has taken multiple turns in sound and style, but her ability to land high on the charts has remained steady. Since the release of her breakout 2019 album Hot Pink, every one of her projects has debuted inside the top 10 of the Billboard 200.

That streak continues with her new record Vie. According to Victor Baez and HITS Daily Double, the album is expected to debut at number five on the chart next week. Early projections show 59,000 units moved, including 25,000 in physical sales. The project leans heavily into 1980s-inspired pop, marking yet another shift in Doja Cat’s musical direction.

Compared to her earlier albums, the numbers are not as strong but still notable. Planet Her remains her best commercial debut with 109,000 units and a number two entry. Scarlet, released in 2023 with a heavier rap influence, debuted at number four with 72,000 units. Even though Vie will open with lower figures, Doja Cat continues an uninterrupted run of four straight top 10 albums.

Vie is projected to outsell new projects from Sabrina Carpenter, Young Thug, and Alex Warren. It will land behind albums from Mariah Carey, Cardi B, Morgan Wallen, and the KPop Demon Hunters soundtrack. The consistency shows Doja Cat’s ability to adapt to different sounds while maintaining commercial relevance.

Alongside the album’s chart news, Doja Cat announced her Tour Ma Vie world trek. The global run will be her biggest tour yet, starting in Auckland, New Zealand, on November 18, 2025. She will then perform across Australia and Asia through December. The following year, the tour will move through Latin America, Europe, the United Kingdom, and North America, beginning in Sao Paulo, Brazil, on February 5 and wrapping up in New York on December 1.

The tour will mark her first live performances in Australia, New Zealand, and Asia. With more than a year of shows planned across multiple continents, it represents the most ambitious tour of her career.

Doja Cat’s ability to shift genres while keeping her chart run alive highlights her unique standing in the industry. With Vie, she adds another milestone to her catalog and prepares to take her music across the globe on her most expansive tour to date.
