Kendrick Lamar Fans Pray For New Music After TDE Teases Mysterious New Music Release! Top Dawg Entertainment boss Anthony Tiffith has caused a stir, sending fans into frenzy after he shared a post announcing that the record label would be dropping new music by one of its artists.
The label executive did not hesitate to hop onto twitter where he wrote “THE WAIT IS OVER #TDE” sharing a short clip which showed a retro loading bar and the date, 7 May 2021.
Fans were quick to speculate over which artist on TDE’s lineup would be unleashing new music, with majority hoping for either Lamar or SZA.
Just two weeks ago, K. dot’s engineer MixedByAli hinted that the rapper “might” be dropping new music this year. This comes only a few days following LeBron James’ tweet: “Man I miss @kendricklamar! In dying need of his gifts/presence right now.”
Last week marked 4 years since Kendrick Lamar delivered his last solo album, DAMN. The Compton rapper oversaw and contributed to songs on the official soundtrack for Marvel’s 2018 film, Black Panther, back in 2018.
Some fans have since speculated that James’s post was actually the basketball star teasing the arrival of new music from the star.
In response to Lebron’s tweet, one Twitter user observed: “The last time [James] did this Kendrick dropped Untitled Unmastered. I appreciate what LeBron is doing for the people.”
Given the fact that Lamar was due to headline Glastonbury this year, it seems viable to believe he might have timed a new album to drop in summer.
SZA’s fans are also expecting new music from the rapper as she is also expected to release her sophomore album this year after she unleashed “Good Days” and “Hit Different” with Ty Dolla $ign, and chances are she could be set for a major push soon..
