Her attorney, Alex Spiro, issued a firm statement reiterating the validity of the court’s ruling. “Tory Lanez was tried and convicted by a jury of his peers and his case was properly adjudicated through the court system,” Spiro said. “This is not a political matter — this is a case of a violent assault that was resolved in the court of law.”

According to a post from his official Instagram account, he suffered 14 stab wounds — including seven to the back, four to the torso, two to the back of the head, and one to the face. The attack was so severe that both of his lungs collapsed, and he was placed on a breathing machine. He has since been removed from the machine and is said to be recovering.
The alleged assailant, identified as Santino Casio, reportedly has a history of violent behavior while incarcerated. The incident has prompted concern from both Lanez’s supporters and critics alike, highlighting the dangerous conditions he now faces behind bars.
