Eminem Drops First NFT Collection
Eminem Drops First NFT Collection! While Eminem is known for dropping beats, last Sunday (April 25) saw the rapper drop his first non-fungible tokens (NFTs) instead. The rapper had earlier released a guide to buying the NFTs, detailing how the sales will work. The event that was set for Sunday 6:30 PM ET saw Eminem release the NFTs on popular NFT platform Nifty Gateway.

The event dubbed “Shady Con” included original content from Eminem, including original instrumental beats as well as a set of action figures. The NFT drop featured open editions, that were only available for purchase for 15 minutes.
Digital trading cards and limited edition NFTs were also up for grabs. There was also an auction for a limited NFT which included physical items. These items featured EMINEM X CARHARTT JORDAN 4’s, SSLP20 Film Strip Shadow Box signed by Eminem, and a very RARE vinyl print of Eminem’s, “Infinite” album signed by Eminem.
Commenting on the NFT event, Eminem stated he had been an avid collector of all things including baseball cards, toys, and rap albums since he was a kid. ““Not much has changed for me as an adult…I’ve attempted to re-create some of those collections from that time in my life, and I know I’m not alone. I wanted to give this drop the same vibe of, ‘Oh, man I gotta get just that one or maybe even the whole set!’ It’s been a lot of fun coming up with ideas from my own collecting passion” he said.
The NFT drop was inspired by Eminem’s own love for collecting.
The rapper becomes one of many who have already embraced the NFT space with Snoop Dogg having already dropped his very own NFT series titled “A Journey With The Dogg”. Soulja Boy is yet another notable NFT rapper who already sold his tweets as NFTs over a month ago.
The NFT space continues its growth and there is every possibility that Eminem’s latest NFT offering will rack in a decent payday for the rapper.
