Yung Gravy Enlists Lil Wayne On “Oops!!!” In October last year, Yung Gravy released his sophomore solo LP Gasanova, a 14-tracks album that boasted notable appearances from Chief Keef, Young Dolph, Y2K, Ski Mask The Slump God, and bbno$ who teamed up with Gravy for their well-received Baby Gravy series. Produced by Valentino Khan, “oops!” is yet another stand-out from Gasanova which presents a perfect example of Gravy’s unique style which involves a blend of humorous yet hard-hitting rhymes accompanied by the colorful, appealing video that lives up to the expectations of the single.
“Oops!” received a remix that features none other than Lil Wayne last weekend, who obviously makes quick work of the pop-esque track with explicit bars about what he likes doing behind closed doors:
“Oops, my fault, I fuck her, send her home, I don’t let her wipe off, fuck and send her home, walkin’ funny, my fault, I forgot the rubbers, oops, livin’ life raw, I’m about to nut, oops, in her eyeball, now she got the number, bitch feelin’ like bae, I just said I love her, oops, what did I say? Now she want kids, want kids in her face, oops/”
Minnesota-born Yung Gravy has since managed to rise above the ranks as a Soundcloud artist, taking the music industry by storm through his breakthrough single “Mr. Clean” and his EP with a similar name. He dropped off the EP Tracy’s Ultimate Fitness Mix, most recently, which sees 6 tracks and enjoys assists from the likes of Lil Baby, Ramirez, Pouya, and TrippyThaKid.
While appearing on a past interview with Los Angeles’ Power 106, Yung Gravy clarified that his name emanated from his younger days as a summer camp counselor, where he would freestyle with his friends in the middle of the woods. One common line, “pulling through smooth, you can call me Yung Gravy,” received a huge response to the point where the nickname stuck and the rest as they say, is history.
