Amid the debate, those who stand with “March Madness” had something to smile about on Friday (March 18 2021), as the beloved anthem recently hit a new milestone. “March Madness” is now double platinum after officially receiving a second platinum certification from the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).

Future's "March Madness" Is Now Double Platinum

Even though it remains unclear as to whether or not the ongoing March Madness has played any role in boosting the rapper’s impressive streaming numbers, it wouldn’t entirely be surprising if that was the case – the track some little boost. After all, the beloved banger has acquired the well-deserved double platinum upgrade just at the perfect time.

Given the song’s popularity and status as a perfect Future selection, the fact that the numbers are not a little higher is actually surprising. It has been a long wait before “March Madness” hit the two million mark, having previously received it’s platinum certification way back in May of 2017.

For those fans still interested in the great debate, it is worth noting that “Codeine Crazy” on the other hand, has yet to earn an RIAA certification as of now. As we recently reported a week ago, Drake & Future’s “Life Is Good” Is now On The Verge Of Attaining Diamond Status after having officially locked down its 9th platinum.

Congratulations are in order for Future, whose “March Madness” is still quite the quintessential soundtrack for the year’s third month not to forget all the basketball that comes with it.
