Drake Postpones Sold-Out Manchester Show Due to Travel Issues, Reschedules for August 5

Drake has announced the postponement of one of his highly anticipated sold-out shows in Manchester, England. The Canadian superstar was set to perform at the Co-Op Arena on July 28, but unexpected travel complications forced the rescheduling of the concert.
The show has now been pushed back to August 5, ensuring that fans won’t have to wait long to catch the 6 God live. While details about the nature of the travel issues remain unclear—especially since Drake has already performed two dates in Manchester this tour—the venue attributed the delay to “unforeseen ferry schedule and travel logistics.”
In a statement, the Co-Op Arena said:
“Due to unforeseen ferry schedule and travel logistics, tomorrow’s performance in Manchester on July 28th has been rescheduled. The good news is that Drake will now perform in Manchester on Tuesday, August 5th, and it’s set to be an unforgettable night.”
Fans who purchased tickets for the original date will find them valid for the rescheduled show, offering reassurance ahead of the new concert date.
Drake’s UK tour has been filled with memorable moments beyond the stage. During his stop in Birmingham, the rapper paid tribute to the late rock legend Ozzy Osbourne, a native of the city. Walking out to Black Sabbath’s iconic track “Iron Man,” Drake honored Osbourne’s legacy with heartfelt words:
“Hey Birmingham! Rest in peace to the legendary Ozzy Osbourne.”
Earlier that day, Drake also visited a local memorial to the heavy metal pioneer, where he poured out some tequila in Osbourne’s honor. Speaking to The New York Times, he said:
“I just came out to pay respects to someone who lived it to the fullest.”
Musically, Drake’s recent release “Which One” features a guest verse from British MC Central Cee. The track, which blends Afrobeats and dancehall influences, serves as a sultry ladies’ anthem. Drake often raps in a Caribbean-influenced accent on the song, adding a fresh dimension to his evolving sound.
On “Which One,” he raps:
“You’re not like the tings you’re around / You’re a real good girl, so I’m bringin’ you down / But come to the bed, I’ll fling you around.”
Fans got an early taste of the track during Drake’s three-night headline performance at the Wireless Festival earlier this month, where he played a brief snippet to an enthusiastic crowd.
Despite the postponement, excitement remains high as Drake prepares to deliver what promises to be a memorable night in Manchester come August 5.
