Coi Leray Claps Back At Her Dad Benzino For Calling Her Out! The revelation that Coi Leray was actually Benzino’s daughter took many by surprise. Leray has grown a brand independently over the years off her father’s infamy in the rap industry to launch her own career. Leray’s single, “No More Parties” made history as her first Billboard Hot 100 entry, debuting at No. 84.
As it happens, her family business found its way into the public arena, though she has herself partially to blame. On “No More Parties,” she calls out her feud with her pops, rapping, “My daddy let me down, but I promise you I won’t let up/I wanna say fuck that man, but that shit won’t make me better.”
Benzino recently came out to set the record straight about his daughter’s issues with him claiming that it was all a lie. He sent out a lengthy Instagram response in the comment section, alleging that Leray has been living well her entire life. He also dragged in her mother claiming she has a lot to do with his daughter’s resentment towards him. “Coi was raised in a mansion and had everything she ever asked for. My other 2 sons are grown and would never say these things,” he shared.
“This mf has the nerve,” she responded via Instagram Live in addition to a string of comments she left under a post. “It’s crazy ’cause we was just on the phone crying yesterday, sharing this moment. Like, really sharin’ the moment,” she said during her Instagram live stream before giving more details in the comment section. “For this man to come on here and do this is so lame and this is the reason he burned all his bridges today. Look here father… I’m on billboard charting right now and all you can do is this lame shit? Yea still proving on how much you lack as a father,” she wrote.
And Leray wasn’t done just yet as she later took to Twitter claiming Benzino is a poor parent who has never been there for her. “Just like a month ago he called me. We spoke. Told him I needed him. I needed my father in this cold world. He said I should of been a boy,” she tweeted. “Reasons why I be thinking I need a n***a to love me now because YOUR BITCH ASS NEVER DID!!” She wrote.
“And this why I NEVER WANTED ANYBODY TO KNOW !! I’M EMBARRASSED TO BE YOUR DAUGHTER,” she continued. “I should of been a boy your right cause I would of knocked you the fuck out already.”
She later offered an apology for “stepping out of character.”
